The Victoria Astronomy Convention VASTROC is a biennial conference for Amateur Astronomers from around Victoria. In 2017 it will be hosted by Mount Burnett Observatory on the weekend of 6-7 May at Emerald Secondary College in Emerald, Victoria. Visitors from interstate and overseas are of course most welcome, too!

Topics include:

  • Gravitational waves
  • Astronomy for Beginners
  • Astrophotography
  • Keeping our skies dark
  • Astronomy outreach
  • and much more

The atmosphere of a VASTROC is relaxed and all astronomers, new and old, locals and from interstate or overseas are most welcome. Astronomical societies around Victoria are a great place to start exploring your interest in Astronomy and viewing the night sky. Come and find your astronomical home at VASTROC 2017!
